Beginning with a round ivory box, I hot glued reindeer moss onto the lid.
A few large silk hydrangea blossom heads were added along with a wide, sheer, ivory ribbon.
It was finished with aqua and ivory ostrich feathers.
Close-up of the lid.
The card and money were placed in an ivory envelope decorated with a
fabric flower sprinkled with pearls and a wide, ivory satin ribbon.
Additional reindeer moss was glued inside along the bottom and an led
candle was added
which gave the interior a soft, warm glow.
I took my glue gun with me (the wedding was in Virginia), so I could turn on the candle and glue it in place just before we left the hotel room. Since the candle battery lasts for approximately three days and they were not taking a honeymoon right away, I felt confident they would open it while it was still glowing.
Hopefully, it brought a smile to their faces.
sequestered and serene xo
